The tournament comprises approximately 2500 students from across South Africa who compete in the disciplines of rugby, netball, hockey, soccer and tennis. Southern Cape Spots Tours hosts both Club Cricket and Club Netball events each year. Our Club Cricket tournament is hosted during the Easter Weekend period and our Club Netball tournament takes place on the weekend of National Women’s Day. Both of these events are hosted in Mossel Bay and are supported by the Eden District Netball and Cricket Associations. This annual 3-day choral event is an ongoing project to promote cultural tourism in the Garden Route region and has been attended by more than 60 school choirs from all provinces of South Africa. Participating choirs have the opportunity to promote themselves on stage and in the media, attend workshops and compete in several competition categories.
The competition is open to all amateur choirs, and is evaluated by experienced jury members who are all performing conductors of note.
Our 3-day orchestra & band festival is hosted in collaboration with the South Cape Music Academy. Competition categories include: Wind Bands, String Ensembles, Marimba & Steel Drum, Jazz Bands, Drumline & Brass and Contemporary groups. Participants attend workshops, compete in several competition categories, and visit some of the best tourist attractions that have made the Garden Route a world-class destination.
